Tory MP Stephen Dorrell has scandalous conflict of interest
Dorrell quit as chairman of the House of Commons Health Select Committee in June. Yesterday he took up his new post as a senior advisor to KPMG’s healthcare practice on a fat salary. For the next six months he will be an MP, while advising a private company trying to win NHS contracts. It stinks.
Ben Goldacre tweeted about his disappointment at hearing the news, calling Dorrell’s move “crass and ugly”.
